Tlaquepaque Shops in Sedona, Az
"Buy This Photo" Tlaquepaque Shops in Sedona-Tlaquepaque (pronounced Tla-keh-pah-keh) is a beautiful artzy and craftzy-style shopping area nestled beneath the huge sycamore trees along Oak Creek in Sedona, Arizona. Tlaquepaque means the “best of everything” with over 40 shops from western styles to eclectic. This Sedona landmark was built in the 70′s and has been fashioned after an authentic mexican village. I had seen photographs of this shopping area in my travels through Prescott, Arizona and decided to make the trip to explore some HDR-style photography. HDR works very well with rustic and adobe buildings and this was just the ticket. What a beautiful place to spend the afternoon catching some great shots. The challenge, as always, was waiting for a clearing of people so I could get 6 exposures simultaneously. As you could image it didn’t come easy. But hey, it’s Sedona, one of the best places in the world to live. Not much you should complain about here.
